More from the studio. We just can't get enough of these cute little girls.

What a gorgeous family! Another great example of how you can capture so much with a storyboard panel. This awesome portrait was shot at one of our most popular beaches this year, Kye Bay in Comox.

This is just a beautiful image of Pearl. Such a fun lady! And she doesn't mind being a bit cheeky too! The rich fall colors give this portrait the perfect warm glow. Perfect for such a sweet lady.

We've done some really awesome portraits at the Comox Marina lately. This is a great portrait of a very busy family.

It was pretty cool to shoot a session for this family from Japan. It's totally awesome to have our work in homes around the world.
This was such a fun family to photograph. At their viewing we spent a solid hour laughing our heads off at the many expressive images including action shots of the whole family jumping off the logs. It was unreal! Way too much fun!

We're just catching up on posting some great images from recent sessions. We are so fortunate to live in an amazingly beautiful place. The Browns River, Kye Bay in Comox, and Stotan Falls are just some of the near by locations just perfect for great portraits.

Just a quick flashback. We couldn't resist posting this image from the summer. It's pure magic. It's awesome to see the connection between mom and her girls here. I've had the pleasure of photographing these girls since they were babies. It's pretty special to watch them grow up.

It's amazing how some images speak more in brown tone rather than color. This is one of those portraits. I love the warmth that the brown tone creates.

Dodging the showers yesterday morning, we took to the streets downtown to shoot this really great couples portrait. There's some awesome images here.
Some of these cool effects we'll be using in our new storybook albums just in from Australia. We're pretty excited about these new abums, they're totally awesome.

We had a lot of fun with Amy's session at the outdoor volley ball court. The rich fall colors look amazing with her team colors. What a terrific grad portrait panel!

The Oyster River is a great location for Fall Portrait colors. Don't these images just speak for themselves? Imagine how treasured these portraits will be 10 years down the road? How treasured they are now?

One of our most popular beach locations for portraits is Kye Bay in Comox. There is so much variety from the rich dark tones of the very unique trees to the lively greens of the grass.
Another great family grouping. Their portrait turned out fantastic. I love their storyboard collection. I just think this is so great of the kids!

Back to Blogging!

We've been so overwhelmed with shooting so many portraits that we've fallen a bit behind on the blogging. Well, we're back with some of our latest work and we've got some amaziing images here.

Check this out! Apparently this is the family's ice cream car....it's their 88 Delta...perfect for cruising in the summer and going for ice cream. I think that is very cool. And this portrait...spectacular! What a view of Kye Bay. This whole portrait is just fantastic!

This image is absolutely stunning! It's the kind of portrait you could look at all day. The mood that it creates is almost surreal. Gorgeous!

last ones

We went over to Kye Bay for a few fun images then to Cor's parents for dinner and the last out door photo. I love the color of the dry grass, it is so warming. It was really fun being a part of James and Coralea's day. There was so much love and affection the whole day. We will see you Cor when you get back from your honey moon!

Some more from the Wedding!

We had a great time after the service as well. No more rain...yes!!

James and Coralea's Wedding

Well Cor got me out of retirement from the wedding shooting side of photography! We had a great day, the weather was just enough to make it intersesting. I knew the wedding party and even the kids were great. There was so much emotion at the church, it even choked me up a bit!

The ladies got ready at Coralea's parents house, the location for the reception as well. Cor is a gifted pianist so we made sure to use her awsome piano for some of the images.

Anna & Joel

I was so excited when my friend Anna and her husband booked a pregnancy portrait session with Jerry. The portraits turned out fantastic. Anna, you are a true picture of elegance and grace. Beautiful in every way! Congratulations you two. These are such exciting times!

Boys will be boys...

You won't believe this. This morning Jerry was heading out for a portrait session with this little 3 year old. He hadn't decided where to shoot the session when he looked out our front windows to see road workers with trucks and machinery right in front of our studio. They just happen to be to be taking their 15 min break giving just enough of a window to photograph this little guy with the trucks. Could it have been any more perfect? He got some great stuff here. Enjoy!!
